Beginning in 1999, five long term care professionals came together to establish a workers compensation program for nursing home, assisted living and continuing care facilities located in the Southeast. Today, this group captive program continues to expand and enjoy the freedom that an alternative can offer.
What States do you offer coverage?
Through our carrier partner, we can offer coverage in the eastern part of the United States, with a heavy emphasis in the southeastern part of the United States.
Who is the carrier partner?
PMA Insurance Company provides statutory coverage to each member. PMA will issue individual policies on behalf of the member.
What types of operators can you write?
Our focus has been and continues to be nursing home, assisted and independent living providers. We are also interested in regional medical centers. We are not interested in home health care providers.
What commissions do you pay?
Our commission is 5%.
Is there are minimum premium size?
While there are no set guidelines, our target accounts generate between $80,000 and $400,000 in annual premiums. Our main requirement is a dedication to controlling losses and reducing workers compensation costs.
Why should I look at an alternative?
Most operators are looking for ways to control costs. This program, through its time in existence, has proven methods in controlling costs. It requires a proactive policyholder, but the upside is documented. We have saved members millions of dollars since its start.
